Delta Gamma is a sisterhood with a strong “Do Good” commitment. Women join DG during their college years and remain connected through more than 170 alumnae groups around the world. Service has been part of our organization for more than 100 years, with Service for Sight as our signature philanthropic focus. Through the Delta Gamma Foundation, our alumnae groups and individual members support organizations working to improve the lives of people with vision loss.

That mission feels particularly meaningful here in Marin, where we are fortunate to have Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) just up the road in San Rafael. Founded in 1942 to serve veterans returning with vision loss, GDB has since helped nearly 18,000 clients graduate from its programs. Its services—including personalized training, ongoing support and financial assistance for veterinary care—are provided free of charge and are made possible entirely through donors and volunteers.

Our goal is to raise at least $500—the cost of a guide dog harness—with a stretch goal of $5,000, which would help provide room, board and support for six guide dog teams when they come to San Rafael for training.

Every Sunday in February from 4-6pm, bingo donations will go to benefit this amazing foundation!
